Svenskt Flygkonst Utskrifter- Fiat J11 Falco
As already noted the expansion programme instigated in 1940 brought several Italian types to Sweden. The Fiat CR.42, re-christened J11 by the Flygvapnet, was bought in reasonable numbers with 72 eventually being ordered. First deliveries were accepted in February 1940 and although the last was not taken on strength until September 1941, they were immediately sent to Flygflottilj 9, based at Gothenburg. A well liked type, if not cutting-edge, the type remained in service for several years after the war, being employed as target tugs.
