HMS Magnificent Victorian era Pre-Dreadnought Battleship Marine Painting Art Print by Naval Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA
&nnbsp;
The epitome of Victorian naval supremacy, the battleships of the sixteen-strong Magnificent class were also some of the most elegant ships of their time. In the three-colour scheme adopted for ships of the line this painting evokes a period in maritime building where splendour and grace were as much a part of the designers brief as the effectiveness. HMS Magnificent is seen at Portsmouth in about 1901.
