Orion Down Under - RMS Orion Original

£2,500.00

Orient Line SS Orion Ocean Liner Art Original Oil Painting by Ocean Liner Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA

Orion was launched in 1934 and is famous for her use on the Australian immigration run. She was also the first liner to carry the P&O corn colour scheme. Her complement of 1400 passengers meant that over her life she transported somewhere in the region of 500,000 people on runs from the U.K to Australia and back. In the airliner dominated post-war years liner traffic diminished dramatically, resulting in Orion's retirement in 1963.

This is the original painting from which our print is taken. It measues 44" x 30" and comes varnished, framed and ready to hang.
