Stephen Millership 6229 Duchess of Hamilton LMS Railway Art Deco Style Art Print
This print is a companion to our Coronation Scot print
and shows 6229 in the Crimson and Gold livery she now wears as part of the
National Railway Museum's Collection at York.
The locomotive was sent to the USA in 1939 for the World's Fair and took on the identity of 6220 Coronation resulting in a Crimson and Gold 6220 in the USA and a Blue and Silver 6220 in the UK.
Upon her return she would regain her original identity but by that time the Second World War was on the verge of starting and post war the locomotives would be de-streamlined
Stephen Millership's illustration shows the immense
power of these locomotives and is available in three sizes.
