Stephen Millership Supermarine S.6b Schneider Trophy Art Deco Style Art Print

Improving on the success of the Supermarine S.5 and S.6 from 1927 and 1929, the S.6b was entered into the 1931 Schneider Trophy race with the pilots of the High Speed Flight knowing that one more win would secure the Trophy indefinitely for Britain. When Flt. Lt. John Boothman completed seven perfect laps of the course at an average speed of 340mph the trophy was assured. Later Flt. Lt. George Stainforth would raise the World Speed Record to 407.5mph

Stephen Millership's illustration is available in three sizes.
