British Motorbike Art Print

Two of the top makers of motorcycles in the U.K are seen side-by-side here as a BSA A65 Lightning and Norton 750 Commando await their riders. Both bikes are fairly late examples of the brand names with the A65 coming after the famous Gold Star, Super Rocket and Rocket Gold Star, while the Commando followed in the footsteps of great bikes such as the Manx, International and Dominator. Bad management, Japanese imports and the rise of the Morris Mini would see the British motorcycle industry implode, but, in recent years Triumph, Norton and AJS have all made successful returns to the market.

In Paul Atchinson’s Painting the unit-construction A65 and Dominator contrast the makers styling and design ideas, while it would be an ideal print for anyone with an interest in British Motorcycles of the 1950s-1980s
