1930s Aircraft Aviation Art - Fairey Swordfish Floatplane & HMS Warspite at Gibraltar
Despite being out-dated before its first flight, the Fairey Swordfish was to go on to have a war record second to none. Though it is more famous as a carrier-borne torpedo and strike aircraft, the ‘Stringbag’ also enjoyed a successful career as a ship-borne floatplane on some of the Royal Navy’s capital ships.
