Imperial Majesty - H.P 42 Heracles Original
Imperial Airways Handley Page H.P 42 Aviation Airliner Art Original Oil on Canvas Painting by Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA.
The long routes of Imperial Airways required an aircraft of considerable size and comfort and, in it's day, the H.P 42 surpassed both requirements, becoming one of the most reliable aircraft of its day.
In a world of Air Travel so diametrically opposed to the one in which we live now, airliners of Imperial had to given first rate service to a limited number of passengers per flight, which once included flying over the Egyptian pyramids twice to ensure all on board got a good view.
Roger H. Middlebrook's Aviation Art Print shows 'Hadrian' over the Pyramids at Giza.
This is the original oil on canvas board painting from which our prints are take. It comes varnished, framed and ready to hang and measures 31.5" x 23.5" (80cm x 60cm)
