Hawker Hunter Aviation Art Print - Khormaksar Wing, Aden 8, 43 & 208 Squadrons

One of the most iconic aircraft of its era, the Hunter was extremely adaptable and loved by both ground and aircrews alike. During the immediate post-war period through to around 1975, Britain reduced as a world-power and gave independence to a great number of its colonies and protectorates, fighting numerous small wars against terrorists, communists and partisans in the process.

The Hunters of the Khormaksar Wing were flow by pilots from 8, 43 and 208 squadrons, along with the PR-equipped 1417 Flight. The unusual sight of two squadron flashes either side of the roundel was later in the 1960s before the Wing was disbanded in 1967 and the squadrons returned home
