The Mediterranean Fleet- HMS Warspite
HMS Warspite Royal Navy Battleship Painting Art Print by Marine Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA
Of all the warships in the post Trafalgar era it is probably HMS Warspite that deserved being preserved the most. A veteran of many major naval engagements in both world wars the ship was to run aground on her way to the scrap yard and be broken up in situ in 1948. Modified and modernised numerous times during her life she is show here at Gibraltar just after her 1922 refit.
