A Growler Winter - Class 37 Diesel Original Painting
Class 37 37418 Original Oil Painting by Artist Lee Lacey AGAvA
One of the mainstays of Britain's railways for over 50 years, the Class 37 entered service as the English Electric Type 3 in 1960. The 309 members of the class have been continuously upgraded during their lives and undertaken a varied number of roles. The Class 37/4 variant with Electric Train Heating was specifically for passenger duties and 37418, named An Comunn Gaidhealach at this time, spent much of its life in Scotland, where she is seen in the picture.
The original oil on canvas board painting from which our cards and prints are taken is currently available. It measures 22" x 16" (560mm x 406mm), with a framed size of 26" x 20" (660mm x 510mm). The picture comes varnished ready to hang.
