Swedish Aviation Art
Swedish Aviation Art - Svensk Flygkonst
Sweden is renowned throughout the world for its world-beating aircraft. When formed the Flygvapnet used a great number of foreign aircraft but with the formation of SAAB in 1937 things began to change. Fighting aircraft were built from 1940 and Swedish-built machines were to take over a great many front-line duties from the 1950s. Sweden's manufacturing independence has been prized ever since and only in the cases of second-line aircraft and helicopters are aircraft bought from other nations. With its generation defining jets, SAAB was able to produce most of the aerodynamic and flight data itself and has only sort outside help with systems such as engines. Even then the parts are usually re-engineered to make them better or easier to produce.
This is Hansen Fine Art’s tribute to the men and machines of the Flygvapnet and offers those interested the opportunity to buy aviation art prints of Swedish subjects for the first time.
