A De Havilland Rapide of the Kings Flight flies over Windsor Castle in the mid-1930s. Based at Hendon the flight was used by numerous members of the Royal Family for both transport and flying time. The aircraft pictured in Roger H. Middlebrook's aviation art painting was flown on numerous occasions by the then Edward, Prince of Wales, later to be Edward VIII.
