October 1944, ground crew dash for shelter under a Short Stirling Mk IV of 299 Squadron at RAF Wethersfield, Essex, England. 299 and 196 squadrons had to depart the airfield in January 1945 after only four months as the severe Winter weather caused substantial damage to the runways.
This is the original oil on canvas painting from which our prints are taken. The picture comes varnished, framed and ready to hang and has an image size of 22" x 16" (55cm x 40cm).
