Biplane Bomber - Handley Page Heyford
Handley Page Heyford Bomber 1930s Aircraft Aviation Art Print- RAF Cranwell Painting by Aviation Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA
Ranking among the most ungainly looking of all aircraft, the Handley Page Heyford was one of the mainstays of Britain’s bomber force right up to just before the beginning of hostilities. An unremarkable aircraft in many respects it is somewhat fortunate that the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley, Vickers Wellington and Handley Page Hampden were produced in sufficient numbers to ensure that no crew had to go to war in one.
