Royal Viking Line / Fred Olsen Cruise Ship Black Watch Art Painting Print by Marine Artist Harley Crossley
Launched in May 1971 as Royal Viking Star, the ship was one of three sisters designed as one class ships. Her first sailing was on 26 June 1972.
Enlarged in 1981, the ship gathered a large following and cruised all around the world as the Westward under the Norwegian Cruise Lines banner. Renamed again as the Star Odyssey, the ship was used for cruises around the Mediterranean and further afield.
Sold to Fred Olsen in 1995, the ship entered service as Black Watch in 1996. Aimed at the British market, the ship has been upgraded and gathered a loyal following.
