Cunard Majesty - RMS Queen Elizabeth

£24.00

Queen Elizabeth Cunard Ocean Liner Painting by Marine Artist Roger H. Middlebrook GAvA

In a scene repeated many times, Cunard's Queen Elizabeth departs New York on another crossing of the Atlantic. Though her building had commenced pre-WWII, it was not until 1947 that the two-way service with her running mate, Queen Mary, began, thus giving Cunard an almost unrivalled service on the Atlantic. For the next decade her service, elegance and smoothness ensured full passenger quotas on all crossings and even with the introduction of newer vessels, such as the United States, remained a firm favourite.
