Early Bird - Short Sunderland Original Painting
Short Sunderland WWII Aviation Art Oil Painting by Chris French FGAvA
A Short Sunderland Mk III flying boat of RAF Coastal Command sits moored up in the early morning mist.
The Sunderland was a long range patrol and reconnaissance aircraft and was widely used during WWII. One of its key roles was the defence of allied shipping in the Battle of the Atlantic. Some unarmed versions were also operated by British civil airline BOAC
This is the original oil on canvas panel painting from which our prints are taken. The picture comes varnished, framed and has an image size of 20" x 16" (50cm x 40cm).
