The tireless work of the mechanics and support staff is often overlooked in aviation art but here Chris French has decided to honour the ground crews, in conjunction with one of the trickiest of British aircraft, the Hawker Typhoon. The dedication and skill of these men meant that aircraft such as the ‘Tiffy’ could be re-armed and re-fuelled in short order, rejoining the battle to support the advancing Allied forces.
