John Hancox - Royal Enfield Constellation
Royal Enfield Constellation British 1960s Motorcycle Blank Greetings Card
After the war the Enfield Cycle Company came back with the last pre-war models. In 1949 the first new models were introduced: the 500 twin (500cc full sprung parallel twin) and the 350cc full sprung Bullet. Later models followed, like the 700cc Meteor (1955), and in April 1958 the Meteor Minors were announced, and with them came a higher performance 700, the Constellation, quickly nicknamed 'Connie' by enthusiasts. The Constellation, despite not being as famous as the BSAs, Triumphs and Nortons they had to compete, were reasonably fast and most importantly for a Café Racer, very customisable.
