Vultee Vengeance Far East Aviation Art Print by Charles J. Thompson ASAA, GAvA
Seconded to the Far East theatre, the Vultee Vengeance proved its worth as a ground-attack machine with units of both Royal Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force. Its use in the close-quarters battles around Kohima and Imphal were essential to their survival while also harassing the retreating Japanese. Here an Australian machine runs up its engine prior to take-off.
