Airliner Aviation Art Painting of a British European Airways BEA Hawker Siddeley Trident by Aviation Artist Roger Murray AGAvA

Starting off life as the De Havilland DH.121, the Trident would go into production with Hawker-Siddeley. Very much a product that encapsulates all the faults of the British aircraft industry during the 1960s and 70s, it had only modest sales with 117 being produced. BEA was the biggest user with most of the fleet making it into British Airways ownership. Other operators included Air China and Cyprus Airways but the aircraft could have and many say should have had much of the market taken by the Boeing 727.
