Grand Prix Motor Racing Art Print featuring the BRM of Jo Siffert by Richard Wheatland
The non-championship Victory Race at Brands Hatch in October 1971 was supposed to be a celebration of Jackie Stewart's Championship win that year. However, the race turned into a tragedy when Jo Siffert suffered a fatal accident on Lap 15 of the race. Siffert had been the fastest driver all weekend and was driving hard recovering from a poor start from pole position. The reference for this painting comes from a 35mm slide taken by the artist the lap before the accident.
