This painting was commissioned by a friend of the artist, who 'borrowed' the Land Rover seen in the picture while on National Service to visit his girlfriend. Needless to say that the Sergeant Major was not happy and the then Lance-Corporal was to do quite a bit of "Jankers".
This blank card is a nice depiction of the lighter side of National Service and the vehicles involved.
