Professionally Built model of the Bristol Beaufighter Mk.X (Tamiya 1/48)

Stalwart of Coastal Command, the Beaufighter became the scourge of German and Japanese shipping in every theatre in which it served. Armed with four 20mm cannon with a mixture of machine gun, rocket or torpedo armament, the “Beau” could accomplish a great many different roles. The aircraft shown is a Mk.X, specialising in maritime attack with an ASV radar in the ‘Thimble’ nose and torpedo armament. These “ Torbeau’s” were serving with 254 Squadron of the North Coates wing in 1943.
