Airliner Aviation Art Painting – Vickers VC-10 by Stephen Chard GAvA
While
best known for its service with BOAC and RAF, the VC10 also served with other
airlines around the world and one of these aircraft is shown flying with Gulf
Air.
The
airline initially leased VC10s from BOAC but bought several outright when the
British company disposed of its fleet of standard aircraft in the mid-1970s.
The aircraft's tenure with the airline would be fairly short though as they
would be sold to the RAF in the latter part of the 1970s.
