Avro Lancaster Airplane Aviation Art Limited Edition Print - 106 Squadron by Aviation Artist Darryl Legg
Flying as part of Bomber Command's 106 Squadron from RAF Metheringham in 1943, this early production Lancaster shows the sheer grace of Roy Chadwick's masterpiece. Few could have known when it first flew in 1941 having been modified from the unsuccessful twin-engined Manchester that the Lancaster would become the most important RAF bomber of WWII and spawn two further developments, the Lincoln and Shackleton that would serve the RAF until 1990.
