Douglas DC-3 Dakota - Air Atlantique

£29.00

Douglas DC-3 Art Print showing an aircraft in service with Air Atlantique

Holding records for longevity and hours in the air that may never be equalled, the DC-3 to this day provides a glimpse into the world of the 1930s. Elegant, reliable and extremely easy to fly, the aircraft was the result of the design team's refining of the earlier DC-2.

A workhorse for countless air forces and airlines around the world for the past 70 years, the 'Dak' has recently been taken out of passenger pleasure flying in the U.K but examples are still very much in demand for air shows.

Graham Henderson's pencil drawing celebrates one of the last U.K operators of pleasure flights, "Air Atlantique", based in Coventry.
