McDonnell-Douglas Phantom FG.1 43 Squadron Aviation Art Limited Edition Print by Aviation Artist Darryl Legg
Re-formed
at RAF Leuchars on 1 September 1969, 43 Squadron would be equipped with the
FG.1 variant of the Phantom.
Built with carrier operations in mind, the RAF took delivery of 20 aircraft after the proposed re-fit of HMS Eagle was cancelled. 111 Squadron would be re-equipped with the FG.1 variant after the de-commissioning of HMS Ark Royal in 1978 and the release of her complement of FG.1 to the RAF. Both 43 and 111 would operate the Phantom until 1989.
Our LIMITED EDITION ART PRINT of only 50 COPIES has an image size of 14" x 10.25" (35cm x 26cm)
