Erich Hartmann Vs. US 15th Air Force encounter - 3 July 1944. This scene depicts Hartrmann's engagement with P-51’s in Romania, which ended with him being chased by 4-8 Mustangs. He had run out of ammunition and after an extended twisting chase, ran out of fuel. The German pilot was unable to outrun the P51’s and bailed out when he was likely to be shot down.
