Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX Polish Aviation Art Limited Edition Print by Aviation Artist Darryl Legg
Operating Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX from November 1942, 306 Squadron
was one of the Polish manned squadrons within the RAF. The skill and aggression
of Polish units had already been demonstrated during the Battle of Britain and
they were prized assets to both Fighter and Bomber commands
Little can be said about the Spitfire but one gets a feeling of the
vastness and loneliness faced by fighter pilots through Darryl Legg's supreme
painting.
