Ford Anglia 105E 1960s Police Car Birthday / Greeting Card by Transport Artist Kevin Walsh
One of the most successful of British motor designs during the 1960s, Ford’s 105E Anglia was the last in a long line of cars to use the name and became a firm family favourite, along with seeing a great amount of use with Police Forces up and down the country.
Taking over from the ever -popular 100E model, the new car was far more modern by the standards of the day with styling based on the American cars then being built and wind-tunnel testing.
The Anglia would again become a star when it was used in the ITV series “Heartbeat”, on which the artist has obviously based his painting.
