One of the last designs produced for the LMS, Ivatt's 2-6-2 tank locomotives would go on to provide the basis for the similar locomotives produced under British Railways. Under BR ownership, the locomotives found work on lines not previously worked and one is seen here in the Dorset countryside of the Southern Region.
