Butlins Holiday Camp Commer Avenger Coach Blank Birthday Card by Malcolm Root

 

Billy Butlin started his first holiday camp in Skegness at 1936. Offering a weeks holiday for a week's pay, Butlin's popularity soared after the 1938 Holidays with Pay act whereby workers were entitled to a weeks paid holiday from their employer.


Here we have a scene from the 1960s with a Harrington bodied Commer Avenger being used as a staff coach.
