Railway Train Birthday Cards - Adams Radial Tank Engine
Britain’s branch lines were served by a myriad of locomotives of varying ages and abilities. One of the oldest designs still earning a living in the 1950s was the Adams Radial tank, three of which were to be found plying their trade on the line to Lyme Regis. Such was the locomotives success on the line that they remained until 1961, attracting such a following that one loco, that shown in the card was preserved and can now be seen at the Bluebell railway.
This railway birthday and greeting card would suit anyone with a love of small locomotives or the Southern Region. It comes from an original painting by Philip D. Hawkins
