Golden Arrow Railway Steam Train Blank Birthday Fathers Day Card John Austin GRA
One of the most famous named trains to run in Britain, the all-Pullman 'Golden Arrow' left Victoria for Dover and then via a ferry was picked up in France as the "Fleche d'Or".
First run as a complete service from Victoria to Paris in 1929, the train would run until 1972, in its later years being formed of electric stock.
The locomotive seen in John Austin's railway greetings card is rebuilt West Country class 34100 'Appledore'.
