Vickers Vanguard BEA Airliner Christmas Card by Stephen Brown
Vickers Vanguard of British European airways in the 1960s.
The Vickers Vanguard was a British short/medium range turbo-prop airliner introduced in 1959 as a replacement for the successful Viscount. It was more powerful and had more internal room. The Vanguard entered service in 1960 and some of the fleet were still in service when BEA passed to British Airways in 1974.
