The start of the main event at Goodwood’s first race meeting on September 18th 1948 with Reg Parnell’s winning 4CLT Maserati coming through from the third row of the grid. Bob Gerard’s E.R.A no.21 finished a very close second, with David Hampshire third in E.R.A no. 24. This card has the message “WITH BEST WISHES”
