Railway Train Steam Locomotive Birthday Card featuring GWR 4930 Hagley Hall from a painting by John Austin GRA
One of a number of very successful classes of 4-6-0 designed by the GWR, the 'Hall Class' mixed-traffic locomotives were first introduced in the 1920s and eventually numbered 259.
4930 Hagley Hall, built in 1929, has become a favourite among GWR enthusiasts as it now runs regularly on th Severn Valley Railway. She had been saved from Woodham's Scrapyard in 1974 and returned to the mainline in 1979 before hauling the first SVR train into Kidderminster in 1984.
This blank card would be ideal for any Railway enthusaist, but especially those with an interst in the GWR and would be most suitable for use as a birthday or Father's Day Card.
