John Hunter GAvA

 

John Hunter GAvA has been with Hansen Fine Art since we formed in 2012. One of Britain's premier pencil artists, John's work is well known for its clarity and finesse. His aviation art work quite often revolves around showing a couple of scenes in pencil with a larger illustration completed in gouache in the centre, and he has combined his great passions of music and aviation art in several of his works, completing pictures showing Glenn Miller, Eric Coates and Ron Goodwin among others.

Residing in North Yorkshire with his wife Jane, John's work has met with considerable commercial success and he has exhibited with the Guild of Aviation Artists since 2002, where his work has been both a runner up in the the prestigious 'Aviation Painting of the Year' category and winner of the Joe Latham award for best work in watercolour.
