The Valiant was first in service but was retired due to severe airframe stresses, Victor had the longest service of all, going on to serve in the 1991 Gulf War as a tanker while the Vulcan was to have as its swan-song, the bombing of the runway at Port Stanley during the Falklands War of 1982.
