Railway Steam Train Birthday Cards - Gresley A4 60019 Bittern
With the end of the 1950s, steam was gradually phased out of service in England, but north of the border large locomotives could still be found hard at work. Here A4 Class 60019 Bittern is seen on a passenger train, some time in the early 1960s. This locomotive would be one of the last of Sir Nigel Gresley’s masterpieces to be retired from service in September 1966.
This railway birthday greeting card features a painting by renowned railway artist Malcolm Root FGRA
