Situated on the Severn Valley Railway, Hampton Loade is seen in several of our cards and this one has the ex GWR 28xx freight locomotive 2857 gently gliding into the station. The 28xx were some of the best freight locomotives in Britain but the birth of preserved railways have allowed us to see them on passenger trains too.
