Triumph T160 Trident & T140 Bonneville Motorbike Birthday Greetings Card by Motorcycle Artist Lee Lacey AGAvA

Two later production Triumphs are seen in this card, these being the T160 Trident and T140 Bonneville. Both motorcycles were by this time equipped with engines of 750cc, the T160 Trident being a far more competitive motorcycle than the T150 that had gone before it.

The legendary Bonneville had gone through numerous incarnations before reaching this model with its disk brakes and larger capacity engine. However, the British parallel twin, the origins of which lay in the 500cc Speed Twin of 1938, was beginning to be eclipsed by larger, more powerful motorcycles from overseas. The original Meridan factory would close in 1983 but through the efforts of Les Harris and John Bloor, the marque was first preserved and now flourishes with a range of successful motorcycles including an all-new parallel twin, the classically styled 865cc Bonneville

The original oil on canvas board painting from which our cards and prints are taken is currently available. It measures 16" x 12" (406mm x 305mm), with a framed size of 20" x 16" (508mm x 406mm

The image is number 3 in our range of 10 pictures for our "Motorcycle Marques" range
