Military Vehicle DVD on the British A27M Cromwell Cruiser tank of WWII

It was not until 1941 that the British Army General Staff ordered a heavy cruiser tank to replace the vulnerable and unreliable Crusader. With a design based around the powerful Rolls Royce Meteor engine, a de-rated version of the company's superb Merlin aero-engine, the Cromwell went through many design modifications before finally seeing action in Normandy.

This DVD traces the heritage of all the British cruiser tanks from the earliest A9 to the extremely successful A34 Comet of the late WWII- post war period.
