DFV - The Engine That Changed Grand Prix Racing

£29.00

DFV Lotus 49 Motorsport Art Print by Richard Wheatland GMA, GAvA

Ford commissioned Cosworth to design and build a Formula One engine for the 1967 season, but as it turned out Team Lotus were the first team to have use of the engine with the new Lotus 49 cars being fast but fragile in their first season. The engine would remain in the forefront of Grand Prix racing for the next sixteen years here 12 driver's championships and 10 constructors championships were won using the DFV powerplant. This painting features the National Motor Museum's Lotus 49 DFW in a paddock bay at the 2011 Goodwood Revival.
