Jim Clark in the Lotus 49 at the 1967 Italian Grand Prix Formula One Art Print by Stuart Booth
Monza
and the 1967 Italian Grand Prix are the setting for this wonderfully evocative
piece from Stuart Booth.
Taking
centre stage is Jim Clark in the Lotus 49 who would receive a puncture and as a
result lose an entire lap before recovering and finishing third. Next to Clark
we see the Eagle-Weslake of Dan Gurney, who would retire early on in the race.
On the second row we see Jack Brabham with Graham Hill both Lotus and Jackie
Stewart in the BRM. Eventual race winner John Surtees and the Honda can be seen
at the back of the group.
