The Challenger 1 represented an amalgamation of existing and new technologies before a totally new vehicle could be built to best utilise developments in both propulsion and armour. 

Initially developed for the Iranian Army, Challenger entered British Army service with myriad problems and difficulties. However, with perseverance and time, the vehicle proved its worth in both Gulf War I and in Bosnia on peacekeeping duties. 

This particular vehicle comes from 'B' Squadron, The Queens Royal Irish Hussars while Panavia Tornados skim overhead.  

This is the original Oil on Cnavas Painting from which our prints are taken. It comes varnished, framed and ready to hang and measures 26" x 22"
