Matchless G11 British Cafe Racer motorbike motorcycle birthday card by John Hancox
A 600cc machine when most other manufacturers, including Matchless later, were producing 650cc motorcycles, the Plumstead offering could be made into a most attractive and very sprightly cafe racer. First offered in 1957, the G11 offered very good reliability for the time and one was the first road-going machine within affordable reach to do one-hundred miles in an hour on the MIRA Road Test Track.
