LMS Passenger Train Art Deco Railway Poster Artwork Blank Card
Poster produced for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote the comfortable services they offered passengers. The poster shows a steam-hauled train with large clouds of steam coming from its chimney, giving an inspiring sense of speed and power. The poster was completed by Norman Wilkinson R.I, who would become one of the top artists of the 1920s-40s era and produced many images for posters for all four of Britain's constituent railway companies of the day.
Certain details of the card are embellished in Gold colour and are embossed.
